Who Is AccepTD?

AccepTD Utility Strategies Inc was borne from need. The high voltage electrical industry is changing quickly and growing rapidly at the same time. Rehabilitating aging grids. First Nations communities rightfully taking control of their destiny in new ways. Experienced people retiring and no longer available. "Greening the grid". Adding new generation both before and behind the meter. Aggressive timelines to develop and build new infrastructure to serve new facilities such as data centers and mining.

Given the challenges and workloads to get it done, it's an "all hands on deck" era. AccepTD is one of those hands, helping facilitate all of the above. Confused about how everything fits together? Let's talk.

Meet Keith

Keith has been in the high voltage power sector for 35 years. His first 20 years were spent in multiple field and management roles for two different utilities, with the previous decade and a half serving the utility contracting industry in various executive positions. This experience had provided the unique opportunity to view the industry through the lens of the asset owner as well as service provider, leading to a “knowing what the industry needs should drive the services and products offered” approach to business.

At BC Hydro, his innovative work in construction safety earned him the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering Safety Professional of the Year award. As a senior leader, Keith managed the operations and construction divisions of FortisBC, prior to leading several key transmission and substation projects to accommodate an expanding power system.

As the president of Allteck Line Contractors, Keith was instrumental in fostering new customer relationships, overseeing significant corporate growth and expanding company operations across Canada. His tenure at Valard Construction similarly resulted in expanded revenue, customer addition and service expansion, particularly in the active Ontario region.

Serving as an industry consultant he is able to bring together the best ideas, vendors, technology experts, service delivery professionals and experiences to ensure you service you receive is unmatched.

What We Believe

Your Time is Valuable. We Won't Waste It.

When you call us, you can expect a call back within 24 hours, or sooner.  If you send us an email you can expect the same response time.  If you have an urgent request, text the number in the Contact Us section and you'll hear from us that same day.

Life is too short to sit there waiting.

Integrity Is Everything.

Doing what we say we will do pretty much sums it up. You've asked for a specific service, and that's what you'll get. If we believe there is additional information that will help you, we will let you know. If we can't supply a service, we'll tell you that as well.

We want you to trust us. Showing that you can is better than just asking you to.

Incremental Improvement is Good. Big Steps are Better.

Improvement is what we strive for everyday. Sometimes it's hard and some days don't feel very productive. But aiming high helps you move along faster, so when the wins come along you know you're making headway.

Why Use AccepTD?

Experienced

The best laid plans often fail, not due to inadequate motivation or intention, but because the importance of certain details, policies and work practices are not recognized.  Experience teaches what works, what doesn’t work and most critically, why. Once you know how to effectively move forward, good things happen.

Practical

If you’re reading this, you’ve experienced a time when something you planned didn’t work out. It turned out to be more expensive than you’d thought, required different skills or took too long. Extensive experience tends to lead to realistic application. Theories and blue sky thinking are important but aren’t a replacement for an execution plan built on time tested reality. At AccepTD, reality is what we do.

Connected

Spending significant time with operational groups, regulators, First Nations communities, industry executives, field workers, safety professionals and third party vendors has allowed AccepTD to serve as an “affiliation” of industry professionals. If you have a problem that doesn’t seem to have a ready answer, chances are we can connect you with someone that does. Trying to decide how to structure your project team? Want to get insight into what the regulators might be thinking? Need a more effective way to manage equipment risk? AccepTD is more than a boutique advisory service; it opens the door to hundreds of seasoned professionals.
